Abstract

Study of gum disease and salivary glands often involves the study of mast cells, which are known to belong to a group of cellular factors innate immunity. The purpose of this investigation was to determine characteristics of the cytoplasmic biopolymers of the mast cells in gums and large salivary glands in human being during 23 solar cycle with the help of histochemical staining. The material was taken from men, who got dead during road accident. With the help of the investigation results can make the conclusion, that characteristics of the gingival and large salivary glands mast cells have seasonal character. And characteristics of the mast cells of the gingiva and parotid glands , besides seasonal character, have chronobiological component that is under the influence of the solar cycle maximum phase.
